Investing in Growth, Innovation, and the Future of Care

When we reflect on what truly defines Mission Health, one theme continues to rise to the surface: our people. Part Two of The Heart of Our Mission celebrates the meaningful ways we invested in education, innovation, and professional growth throughout 2025. From scholarship recipients and national recognition to clinical graduations across our communities, this year reinforced our belief that when we support our teams, exceptional care follows.

We are proud to celebrate the following scholarship recipients:

  • Amanda Blundell – Oswego – ADON-RN
  • Evelyn (Jessica) Tinsley – Kansas – Senior Education Specialist
  • Martha Roenne – Smith Center – DON
  • Nicole Davis – Spring Hill – DON
  • Tatum Martinez – Lincoln – RN
  • Timmi McNeal – Spring Hill – CRC-RN
  • Tonia Middleton – Downs – DON

We extend our sincere appreciation to Avila University for creating meaningful, accessible pathways for our nurses to grow professionally, expand their leadership skills, and further enhance the care they deliver every day.

Through the scholarship’s flexible RN-to-BSN program—combining online coursework with hands-on clinical experiences offered on campus or within local communities—participants are able to continue leading their teams while advancing their education. This model reflects what we value most: career growth that supports balance, sustainability, and excellence in care.

Innovation also took center stage in 2025. Mission Health earned Gold in the Innovative Care Planning category at the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards, a national program that recognizes how senior living and long-term care providers are using technology to elevate care and streamline operations.

These awards highlight solutions that make a real difference—from improving clinical workflows to enhancing quality of life for residents. Being recognized at this level reinforces our commitment to using technology thoughtfully and purposefully to support our teams and the individuals we serve every day.

Education and advancement remained a cornerstone of our mission this year. Across our communities, 79 team members completed clinical training, strengthening our care teams and building the next generation of healthcare leaders:

  • 14 CMAs through the GBD program, including
    – 5 graduates from Tennessee in our very first Tennessee CMA class
    – 9 graduates from Georgia
  • 20 CMAs in Kansas
  • 45 CNAs in Kansas

Each graduate represents more than a credential—they represent our commitment to developing talent from within, investing in long-term careers, and ensuring our residents receive compassionate, skilled care.

This year has been filled with milestones—from scholarships and graduations to national awards and new opportunities for growth. Together, these moments tell a powerful story about who we are and where we’re headed.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re energized by what’s to come and deeply grateful for the people who make Mission Health what it is. Mission is more than programs or recognition—it’s the collective impact of people growing, leading, and caring together.
