It is with great pleasure, and pride, that I get to share that Mission Health is once again a recipient of the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace Award. Out of only 101 companies that made the list for 2022, Mission is proud to have ranked 18th among other outstanding local businesses.
The Mission Experience is at the core of our company. For each employee, what we do and how we do it means we make a point of living our CARES values of Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence, and Service in everything we do. This commitment to the Mission Experience at every level is integral to fostering a workplace where our employees are engaged and can do their best work.
When we begin the process of collecting feedback from Mission employees, as we do several times throughout the year, it is always for the primary purpose of improvement. Why “improvement?” Aren’t we “good enough?” Well, sure, it’s true that we consistently rank high in engagement and satisfaction scores, and that we’re proud of those results. However, there are always things we can do better and ways we can enhance the employee experience. And without the honest, constructive feedback from Mission employees, we wouldn’t be able to hone in on the things that matter most!
I truly believe this philosophy is part of why Mission Health is a 2022 Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace, despite the immense challenges the healthcare profession has faced over the past couple of years. With a profession that is under extreme pressure, it’s our job to do everything we can to support our employees when they need us, so that they in turn can continue to deliver service that shines.
What does fostering outstanding service delivery look like for us in 2022, as a Top Workplace? It looks like supporting the career goals of our employees so that we are uplifting the skills and ambitions of those already on our teams. It requires providing resources that enable employees to better face unexpected challenges. It asks us to think outside the box when we evaluate the benefits we offer. And most importantly, it means ensuring everyone feels valued, and understands how meaningful their role truly is at Mission. We couldn’t do any of this without the dedication and caring of our employees.
Just like last year, I am so impressed seeing how many amazing employees we have, who care about the future of the company, and who believe that we can always be better. So, congratulations to every Mission employee who, through their embodiment of our CARES values, has created a positive workplace for themselves and their co-workers!
Together, the Mission Health team made this happen, and we look forward to continuing to improve on the Mission Experience over the course of the year.
Sincerely,
Stuart Lindeman
