Mission Health Administrator in Training

We strive to deliver the Mission Experience: aligning everything we do with our CARES values of Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence, and Service, and we seek to hire employees who want to do the same!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Mission Health Communities’ Administrator in Training (AIT) program is a full-time, paid program that follows both State and National guidelines. AITs receive practical, on-the-job training in a Skilled Nursing environment under the direct supervision of an experienced Nursing Home Administrator and Licensed Preceptor. To prepare our AIT for their next management role with Mission, whether it be as a Nursing Home Administrator or an Assistant, the AIT will be mentored by one of our Licensed Preceptors to gain a thorough understanding of our culture, operating model, systems and what it takes to be a successful Administrator at Mission. We place great importance on driving outcomes through commitment to our CARES values and will guide the AIT in the application of those principles. Following state-specific guidelines, the program will consist of working the required number of hours under a Mission Preceptor and will include hands on training in all aspects of working as a Nursing Home Administrator. Mission will reimburse for both the National Exam (NAB) and State Exam when they are passed.

Corporate Recruiter

Rafael “Raf” Morales’s first passion may be baseball, but when a shoulder surgery indirectly led him to the world of healthcare, he discovered a new talent. He jumped into Healthcare Recruiting in 2006 where he has since specialized in both Acute Care and Senior Living recruitment for facilities and job seekers all across the country. He joined Mission in 2012 when Mission had just 11 of the 50+ communities that they operate today. He has been pivotal in drastically reducing agency and recruitment fees while helping improve Mission’s culture by hiring for Character and Attitude, two of Mission’s C.A.R.E.S. Values.

In addition to recruiting for the Home Office, Regional, and Nursing Home Administrator opportunities, Raf assists with and manages many other facets of life at Mission. Whether he’s training our communities on interviewing, analyzing hiring and retention, managing our Applicant Tracking System, rolling out new programs, or assisting the communities in their states, Raf is known for always helping with a smile.
As Mission’s 2nd most tenured home office employee and Mission’s first peer-selected Culture Ambassador when the program was rolled out back in 2017, Raf is an excellent resource for current and hopeful employees. His knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm represents the best of Mission.

If you are looking for a new career opportunity, looking for new ideas on recruitment/retention, have iPhone questions or just want to talk baseball or fishing, please reach out to Raf.
